Kiefer Sutherland recently laughed so hard in a dream he woke himself up.
The 47-year-old actor portrays counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer in action TV show 24. Jack spends his time protecting the world from terrorist attacks, but in real life Kiefer doesn’t take things so seriously.
“I was laughing in a dream and I woke myself up,” he told People magazine about the last time he couldn’t stop giggling. “I don’t remember what I was dreaming about but whatever it was, the fact that it knocked me out of bed made me laugh even harder.”
24 has recently returned to TV screens, although this time around the series boasts only 12 episodes. That doesn’t mean Kiefer’s work load is particularly light though, and he still finds it hard to find time to fit in his hobbies.
“Game of Thrones,” he said of the last show he watched. “It’s hard for me to watch consistently because last week I was working 12 hours a day, and this week I’m working 12 hours at night.”
Kiefer has a lot of fun on set and tries to get involved with stunts whenever possible. However, they don’t always go to plan which can land him in hot water. The star insists accidents aren’t the norm though, playing down a painful incident which recently occurred.
“Three weeks ago I cut the side of my face, when a ricochet shell from a [gun] chamber hit a steel; beam that was adjacent to me. It wasn’t that bad,” he insisted. “We patched it up really quick.”
