Kevin Spacey thinks loved up couples should “cozy up” and watch House of Cards tonight.
The 54-year-old actor says the new series of his Netflix show is the perfect treat for a Valentine’s Day evening in.
Season two kicks off tonight, with all 13 episodes available for subscribers to stream straight away.
The show centers on a congressman and his wife as they seek to exact revenge on the people who have betrayed him.
“You can cozy up to your loved one and see what Frank and Claire are up to and it’s very romantic,” Kevin laughed to E! News.
Robin Wright plays Claire opposite Kevin’s Frank. The show also stars Kate Mara, and bagged a Golden Globe at this year’s ceremony.
Streaming service Netflix has already signed up for a third series, but Kevin is still coming to terms with the show’s runaway success.
“I’m always taken aback. First of all, I’m always taken aback by things that are successful that I think are just cr*p and then I’m completely surprised when things I do end up being successful because you walk into things and you never know… it’s just really remarkable,” he mused.
Robin echoed Kevin’s sentiments and couldn’t help but gush about her co-stars and crew.
She even likened it to the feeling of getting itchy feet before a new school term starts and says she can feel “anxious” being away from her colleagues.
“[It's] like, ‘When’s school starting?’ But school that you love. It’s a real family we’ve created. It’s the most collaborative work I’ve ever done,” Robin smiled.
