Kate Hudson would eat snacks and watch Downton Abbey during her “perfect” day.
The Hollywood star has a hectic schedule, raising two sons while making movies and recently announcing plans for a line of workout clothes. If she could do anything for a day, the multi-tasking actress would relax in front of her favorite TV show.
“I’d sleep in for an extra three hours and hope my kids let me,” Kate told the November issue of Shape magazine. “Next, I’d work out and take a sauna. Then I’d probably want to get in the pool with the kids. After that I’d read, followed by watching Downton Abbey while eating a big bag of Pirate’s Booty. That would be my perfect day.”
During the interview Kate shares some exercise and diet secrets, while also showing off her enviably toned body in a series of tiny workout outfits.
The 34-year-old blonde loves to dance and demonstrated her skills during her recent appearance on Glee. She also credits Pilates for helping her keep in shape.
“It’s the basis of what I do for exercise because it’s dance-oriented – and, as you saw at the shoot, I love to dance,” she beamed. “It’s my creative outlet. My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I’ve been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough. It’s been a real blast.”
Kate, who is engaged to Muse rocker Matt Bellamy, believes in looking after your health and body. However, she denies worrying about ageing despite constant competition from younger actresses.
“Not at all. In fact, I’m finding that the parts are more interesting as I get older, which is great because I’m planning to do it for the rest of my life,” she smiled. “I remember Kurt [Russell] asking me when I was younger, ‘Why are you choosing to act? Because if you’re doing it for stardom, it’s a very small window. If you’re choosing it because you love it, you’re in the right profession.’ And that’s true of any career, actually.”
