Julia Roberts got her husband’s initials tattooed on her before they married.
The 46-year-old star has always been seen as one of Hollywood’s girl-next-door types, but revealed she does have a hidden wild side.
Julia and Daniel Moder married in July 2002 and they have three children together, son Henry and twins Finn and Hazel, with her family the inspiration for Julia’s surprise inkings.
“Yes, I have few. Aren’t you just rethinking me completely right now,” the actress told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres when asked about tattoos.
“Well, some things I can tell you the answer to and some things I’ll tell you later. I have all my children’s names and my husband’s initials.”
Ellen then jokingly asked whether Julia “didn’t want to commit” to having her spouse’s full name etched on her for life, prompting the star to open up even more.
“Well, you know actually it was…we were brave or idiotic because it was before we got married,” Julia giggled.
The conversation then moved on to the actress’ good friend George Clooney, who recently got engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The two stars are close and Julia was thrilled to hear the bachelor was ready to settle down.
“I think it is sublime. [Amal] is beautiful and smart and he is happy and that’s what matters to me,” she gushed.
George and Amal are yet to officially talk about their engagement, although his mother Nina has confirmed it.
“You can say I’m extremely happy, Amal’s a lovely girl,” she told the British newspaper The Daily Mail. “We weren’t at all surprised when they told us they were engaged, and we couldn’t be happier for them.”
