Johansson: I’m not interesting

Scarlett Johansson feels she’s “relatively uninteresting”.

The Lost In Translation actress is thankful that despite being a huge Hollywood star she’s rarely caught by paparazzi and she works hard to keep it that way.

The 28-year-old star was mortified when a topless snap was leaked from her mobile phone in 2011 but otherwise fame has been an enjoyable experience because she maintains distance from the press.

“Luckily, I’m relatively uninteresting,” she told the British edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. “I’ve always tried, as much as possible, to keep the prying eye at arm’s length, which doesn’t always work in my favor – but I think if you establish that early on, you remain relatively unscathed,” she continued, adding, “As I get older, I realize what an incredible waste of time it is to scurry around like some kind of urchin. I want to enjoy things, like just walking around my city.”

Scarlett divorced actor Ryan Reynolds in 2011 after three years of marriage and her ex is now hitched to actress Blake Lively.

The bombshell is thinking about settling down again and having kids but for now she’s enjoying discovering more about herself.

“Eventually I want to have a family, and that would be my focus, but right now I’m having fun with it,” she admitted. “There have been times in my career where I’ve struggled to find… I was stuck for a while. It was more difficult, maybe, to find the right thing to do. Now I’m enjoying a really productive, creative period.”

One of her latest adventures included branching out from the silver screen and helping out with US President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Scarlett is keen for a female leader to enter the White House soon.

“I think Hillary Clinton would make a wonderful president,” she confessed. “I think we could only benefit from having someone in office who has been a mother; women have a different perspective and appreciation of humanity because of that maternal instinct. It can only be a step forward,” she said.
