Jessica Simpson is reportedly disappointed with her post-baby body.
The 33-year-old singer welcomed her second child, Ace Knute, in June.
The baby boy is little brother to Jessica and fiancé Eric Johnson’s 15-month-old daughter, Maxwell.
Jessica famously signed a deal with Weight Watchers after giving birth to the baby girl and gaining 60 pounds.
According to OK! magazine, this time around the singer is having an “extremely difficult” time shifting the baby weight.
“She says her stomach is ‘goo’, and she isn’t sure if it’s going to ever be like it used to be,” a source said.
Apparently Jessica isn’t looking to ping back into her pre-baby body.
She simply wants to lose enough weight to regain some self-confidence and is focussed on being healthy for her kids.
“It’s not about being [movie character] Daisy Duke. It is more about feeling good in her own skin, feeling happy about herself,” the insider explained.
“She wants to be able to run around with her kids without getting out of breath.”
Jessica’s deal with Weight Watchers is reportedly in “full force”.
Apparently the pressure is on, with the firm expecting to film new promos with the star in just a few months.
“She is expected to hit the ground running in time for the holiday campaigns,” the insider said.
Jessica and former football player Eric, 33, announced they were expecting their second child in November.
The couple began dating in May 2010 and became engaged six months later.
They are believed to be planning a wedding for later this year.
