Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling have come “full circle”.
Tori and Jennie first met on the set of 90’s TV show Beverly Hills, 90210, and the duo is reuniting in ABC Family’s Mystery Girls. The two have remained close over the 14 years since 90210 ended, but now their friendship is reaching a new level.
“Our kids are becoming friends which is really cool,” Tori told People Magazine. “My kids had a sleepover last week at [Jennie’s] house. It was like full circle.”
Tori is a mother of four, with Liam, seven, Stella, six, Hattie, two, and Finn, 22 months. Jennie is a mother of three, with Luca, 16, Lola, 11, and Fiona, seven.
“We share stories every day,” Jennie, 42, gushed to People. “I love and respect her as a mother and she’s doing a great job.”
“And I love and respect her,” Tori, 41, responded.
Tori and Jennie’s new mystery comedy series features the pair as two former TV stars who come together to solve a real-life crime.
“You pick right back up where you left off, and who knew it would be that way? I mean, I knew it would be easy, but it’s a different format than we’ve worked together before in,” Tori told E! News.
“We’ve never done comedy, although that’s what is natural to us in real life. Like, this banter we have and this chemistry, that’s what our friendship is like and has always been like.”
Though the new series won’t have any direct Beverly Hills, 90210 references, Jennie promises a few “nods” to the show.
“We have fun with it because we play ’90s stars of a different show, so we kind of use that to get to 90210,” Jennie explained.
