Jenners confirm separation

Bruce and Kris Jenner

Kris and Bruce Jenner are officially separated.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the couple confirm they are living apart.

“We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority,” reads a statement issued to TMZ.

Bruce has reportedly been living in Malibu, where he’s spending time with his sons Brody and Branson, from a previous relationship.

Meanwhile Kris is staying in Calabasas with her daughters, sources tell the outlet.

Bruce reportedly told his sons the separation came about naturally and not as a result of a fight or animosity.

The couple have been married since 1991 and have two daughters – Kendall, 17, and Kylie, 16. Bruce is also stepfather to Kris’ four children, Kim, Khloé, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian.

Rumors about the state of the marriage have dogged Kris and Bruce for months, but the family always denied it.

“We just laugh it off,” Kris told E! News last November. “We love each other and just laugh about it. These kind of stories have been circulating for the last couple of years.”

Kris and Bruce celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in April 2013. The matriarch made mention of it on Instagram, posting a message to her husband.

“Happy Anniversary Bruce!!!! Best 22 years I could ever have imagined…hope the next 22 is even more fabulous…I love you!” she wrote.
