Jen-An ‘turns to Butler’

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has apparently turned to Gerard Butler to help her though the alleged troubles with fiancé Justin Theroux.

The 45-year-old actress met Gerard on the set of movie The Bounty Hunter in 2009 and it was rumored they dated until the start of 2010.

Now friends say it’s the Scottish actor who Jennifer has leaned on in her time of need, with the pair reportedly meeting for coffee and also dinner last month.

“Jen has missed having a man around, so enjoyed meeting up with Gerard. They’re old friends. But it won’t have gone down well with Justin,” a source divulged to British magazine Grazia.

And it seems that when Justin heard about the rendezvous he was not best pleased.

The 42-year-old actor, who has been busy filming TV show The Leftovers in New York, is alleged to have flown straight home to LA when he found out about Jennifer’s new dinner companion.

“They’ve also been talking on the phone, laughing and flirting. Gerard is a blast. He is just the person she needs in her life right now- she’s been so cheered up by his calls,” an insider revealed to British magazine Heat.

Jennifer and Justin’s relationship has been the subject of media scrutiny after spending nearly two months away from each other.

“Justin thinks that Gerard may put the moves on Jen the second he gets the chance. But Jen told him that he should be grateful to Gerard for keeping her company when he can’t. She told Justin he should be relieved that an ex, someone she trusts, wants to take her out,” the source added.

Jennifer and Justin announced their engagement in 2012, but are yet to take their wedding vows.

The couple showed a united front at this weekend’s Oscar celebrations, putting an end to their months apart, and looked happy together at a pre-party over the weekend.

Eyewitnesses reported that the pair looked loved up, as they held hands and stuck together all night at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s annual Night Before the Oscars gala on Saturday.
