Jared Leto wants to concentrate on his band Thirty Seconds To Mars.
The singer and actor has both a successful music and movie career, but has revealed he’s in no rush to make another film.
Currently starring in Dallas Byers Club as a transgender woman, the movie marks a return to film after a four year hiatus for 41-year-old Jared.
“We’re committing to tours next year, deep into next year. I’m not in any rush [to do another film]. I never wanted to make the most films. I just wanted to make the most interesting.
“I don’t know if it was an end or a retirement; I didn’t have plans to ever make another film again. It had been five or six years, and I read this script after ignoring it a few times, and I fell in love,” Jared told MTV News.
Thirty Seconds To Mars was formed in 1998 and consists of Jared, his older brother Shannon Leto and lead guitarist Tomislav Miličević.
The rock band has consistently enjoyed sold out tours and numerous headlining festival slots, and show no sign of slowing down with a jam-packed 2014 already planned.
“I was really busy with Thirty Seconds To Mars, we had more success than we ever dreamed, opportunities to tour the world again and again, and we took advantage of those. We fought and worked for them for so long.
“When those opportunities finally presented themselves, we were like ‘Yeah, we’re going to go and do that’. And through that, we saw things we never dreamed of; I went to places and had experiences I never imagined possible, and, you know, I grew as a person, and an actor, too,” he revealed.
