Jennifer Lawrence braved the rain for the “insane” premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Monday night.
The 23-year-old actress was greeted by fans despite the bad weather, and said response to the second installment of the film franchise has been overwhelming.
“This is absolutely insane and so awesome. It makes me want to make, like, five more movies,” she told MTV News.
Jennifer will have shot close to five movies once production is complete. The third novel in the Suzanne Collins series will be split into two films, Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2.
Jennifer also heaped praise on co-star Josh Hutcherson. The 21-year-old actor plays her love interest, Peeta Mellark, in the Francis Lawrence-directed film and was a constant pillar of support.
“Josh is my rock. He’s like a 100-year-old wise, old man. I love Josh. He’s like, a genius-genius.”
The cast, which also includes Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson and Liam Hemsworth, became close on set.
Elizabeth recently joked Lenny became “the ringleader”, often having his cast mates over after a long day’s work.
“He’s like the ringleader of the whole thing. Everybody likes to go to his place,” Elizabeth told Entertainment Tonight. “You know, he’s like a rock star, he’s used to hosting people all the time, 24/7. It’s a whole thing.”
The cast is expected to premiere the film in Los Angeles next Monday.
Catching Fire is scheduled to hit US cinemas on November 22.
