Nicholas Hoult is apparently the only one who isn’t a “yes person” around Jennifer Lawrence.
The two stars began dating after meeting on the set of 2011’s X-Men: First Class, but split up early last year. It’s thought work schedules were to blame and by the summer they were back together, with Nicholas by Jennifer’s side when she picked up the best supporting actress Golden Globe for her role in American Hustle earlier this month.
She admitted she was nervous at the ceremony and apparently turns to her beau in times of crisis.
“He’s so down-to-earth and normal; she really relies on him to keep her sane. He knows exactly how to calm her down. She trusts him,” a source told British magazine Heat. “Of all the people she has around her, he’s the only one who isn’t a yes person. He’s straight up with her. She needs someone like that, especially now that her life is a whirlwind of Hollywood madness.”
Much has been made of Jennifer’s intense filming schedule of late. She stars as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise and director of American Hustle, David O. Russell, recently got into trouble for comparing its shooting schedule to slavery.
Although he apologized for the remarks, it’s suggested he isn’t the only one concerned about the amount Jennifer has been working. She had three films hit screens last year and has the same amount out in 2014.
“There are a lot of people genuinely worried about Jennifer,” another insider claimed. “She’s facing severe burnout from her work schedule and the pressure on her to follow up last year’s awards season success is immense, let alone the fact she had three major movies out last year, plus filmed four.”
