Hilton: I didn’t make sex tape money

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton slams reports she profited from her 2004 sex tape.

The former reality television star famously skyrocketed to fame following the release of an X-rated video that featured her with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon.

Despite reports the video, called 1 Night in Paris, was signed off on by the socialite, she says she pocketed none of the tens of millions of dollars it made.

Speaking to TMZ at Los Angeles International Airport, she said: “[I] never made a dollar. I make enough money in nice ways,” adding, “My fragrance makes enough money I don’t need to worry about that.”

Paris was also asked about the recent shutdown of a Slovenian website profiting from the video.

The star said she went after its operators because she doesn’t like others profiting from her name “in such a gross way”.

TMZ claims Paris’ ex did indeed profit from the venture.

The film producer reported to the IRS he earned $10 million in the first year of its release, according to the outlet.

“That was almost all sex tape [money],” the website claims.

Paris has slammed Rick on numerous occasions, most recently while speaking to Raleigh, North Carolina’s Bob and the Showgram radio show last month while promoting her new music single, Good Time.

“That [the video's production] was not anything to do with me. I just dated a person who was a very sick man who did that,” she said.
