Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is not a “sucker”.

The actor is known for being a ‘nice guy’ in the industry and takes on a heroic role in his latest film, Captain Phillips.

While he likes being seen as a good person, he also wants to set the record straight on his clean-cut image.

“Well, I’m a pretty decent guy. But I am not a lightweight. I’m not a sucker,” he assured Total Film.

“Hey, I’m not a p***y. I ain’t no p***y [laughs]. And I don’t mean that in a pejorative or a sexist sense. I mean that as, you know, a cowardly dude.”

The 57-year-old also takes on the role of Walt Disney in biopic Saving Mr. Banks.

Walt was known to suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder, which Tom can identify with to some degree.

“Well, I don’t know if I have clinical Attention Deficit Disorder. If I do, I’ve turned it into a lucrative living and I recommend it!” he joked.

“You know, I was never a problem child. But I was always waiting to be fascinated by something and something usually came on about every ten minutes that always got my enthusiasm. Everybody from Picasso to Einstein… Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley, Andy Warhol, Norman Mailer… I don’t know, there are probably a lot of people who have this thing in which their concentrative powers are shot up at very specific times. For me, that was just what living was like. I might have benefited from psychotropic drugs. I know I do now [laughs].”
