Glee leads the nominees of the 2014 People’s Choice Awards.
The hit TV musical scored a total of eight nods, including favorite network TV comedy and favorite comedic TV actress for series star Lea Michele.
Sandra Bullock isn’t far behind, bagging a total of five nominations.
Miley Cyrus also made the shortlist for favorite album and favorite music video, although the star was passed over in the category of favorite female artist.
The awards, which will air live on CBS on January 8, will be presided over by hosts Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the stars of hit comedy 2 Broke Girls.
Kat took to Twitter, telling fans of her delight that she and Beth have been asked to do the honors.
“It happened! Beth and I are hosting the 2014 People’s Choice Awards! Voting starts now! Get in there #peopeschoice,” she urged her followers.
People’s Choice Awards Executive Producer Mark Burnett confirmed the news on Tuesday.
“Kat and Beth are great additions to our People’s Choice family and we are excited to have them host the show. Their energy and charisma are a perfect fit for our audience,” he said in a statement.
“As long as we have each other, we won’t be nervous!” the duo said about taking on the duties.
Voting closes on December 5.
