Facinelli’s ‘comic book creation’

Peter Facinelli and children

Peter Facinelli is in complete awe over being an official comic book creator.

The 39-year-old Twilight Saga actor recently released Protocol: Orphans, the first edition in his post-apocalyptic comics series.

The star has harbored a passion for the genre since childhood and it is simply a dream come true to see his ideas in print.

“I can’t believe that I actually have a comic book that I created out there now,” Peter gushed to MTV News.

“I grew up reading Spider-Man. He was from Queens, I was from Queens. His name’s Peter, my name’s Peter….we had a lot of similarities.”

The thespian is deeply involved in another writing project currently, as he is penning a young adult book.

Peter announced on his official website in October he is teaming up with his A7SLE partner, Rob DeFranco, and young adult author Barry Lyga to write After the Red Rain.

The tome is scheduled to be published by Little Brown in the summer of 2015.

Peter is parent to three children who should enjoy the book. He has 15-year-old Luca Bella, 10-year-old Lola Ray, and six-year-old Fiona Eve with ex-wife Jennie Garth.

He was officially divorced from the actress in June although they split in March 2012 after 11 years together and they now share custody of their daughters.

Peter also appeared in Tyler Shields’ new series of underwater photography titled Submerged. The images were shown at the Imitate Modern Gallery from October 9 to November 9, 2013 in London.
