Eva Longoria’s recent comments on marriage were “very misconstrued”.
The former Desperate Housewives actress explained that her current single status means that a wedding is not on her mind.
She recently split from Ernesto Arguello, who was a contestant on TV dating show Ready for Love, which Eva worked on as producer.
“I didn’t say I would never get married again. There’s nobody in the works now. So, it’s not really on my mind. It was very misconstrued,” she explained.
Her latest musings on tying the knot come after recent comments she made to Access Hollywood.
The 38-year-old also said she didn’t necessarily feel the need to have kids, but she wasn’t opposed to falling pregnant.
“I’ve been married twice, so that’s been there, done that!
“I’m not one of those women that’s like, ‘Oh I must procreate’. I think kids are a product of love, so if you find the right person and you want to have a family with that person then that’s when the time is right. I don’t think if I’m 50 and single – I’m not going to go and [have a baby] by myself,” she said.
Eva divorced her second husband, basketball player Tony Parker, in 2011 after he allegedly cheated on her with the former wife of one of his teammates.
In June Tony announced his engagement to French journalist Axelle Francine via Twitter.
Eva was also married to General Hospital star Tyler Christopher from 2002 until 2004.
