Emma Watson is apparently turning down film roles to focus on college.
The Harry Potter star is studying at Brown University in Rhode Island, where she is working towards a degree in English.
She’s a sought-after name in Hollywood, but is reportedly having to disappoint directors in favor of doing well in her finals next month.
“Emma is in demand with Hollywood directors but has so much to focus on with her studies that she has had to pass on a few things – she simply can’t do everything,” a source explained to British newspaper The Mirror.
“It’s tough but she believes it was the right thing.”
The 23-year-old has been working hard for her qualifications, despite also juggling leading roles in movies such as The Bling Ring and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Recently she posted a picture of her laptop on Twitter, encouraging others with hectic schedules to stick at it and pass their exams.
“Anyone handing in final papers, taking exams, working hard … You can dooo ittttt!!! (sic),” she wrote in a motivational tweet.
Emma enrolled in the Ivy League university in 2009, but temporarily dropped out to complete the final instalment of the Harry Potter franchise.
She then spent some time at Oxford University in England, but took another break to film The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Emma previously spoke out about the difficulties she’s faced while studying abroad.
“My first two years at Brown weren’t easy… At Brown everyone does completely different things and very much chooses their own path, which is great, but it’s also much more difficult, too,” she explained to the New York Times. “You’re not with a group of people all the time at one time.”
