Efron ‘treated for drug use’

Zac Efron

Zac Efron allegedly entered rehab for cocaine abuse.

Yesterday reports emerged that the former High School Musical star had completed a stint in a facility due to alcohol addiction.

However, TMZ now claims Zac had a “serious” cocaine problem.

According to the website, the 25-year-old’s addiction spiralled out of control while he was filming Seth Rogen’s Neighbors during a short space of time from April.

“It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine,” a source said, adding that Zac was a “no-show” on a few days.

An insider also told TMZ that the actor “dabbled” with Molly, a pure form of ecstasy that is frequently found in clubs and at raves.

Zac and some pals are also said to have engaged in a cocaine “rager” at the SkyLofts at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The group reportedly caused around $50,000 in damage, but it’s unsure who paid.

TMZ contacted a representative for Zac, who did not respond.

E! News broke the story of the star’s alleged rehab stint, claiming he kept an alcohol problem under wraps and quietly checked himself in five months ago.

“He’s healthy, happy and not drinking,” one source told the publication. “He’s taking time to focus on working.”

Zac recently appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of Parkland.

The flick is about the three days surrounding John F Kennedy’s death in Dallas, Texas, and hits theaters next month.
