Josh Duhamel won’t allow his son to become an “entitled little brat”.
The 40-year-old actor is expecting a baby boy with Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie any day now and he insists the couple will teach their son good manners.
“It’s really important to us that we don’t raise an entitled little brat,” he told People magazine.
“We want to raise a kid who’s confident, compassionate, and it’s really important that we do that, so it’s important that I set a good example for him,” Josh explained.
But Josh admits that he wasn’t very well behaved himself when he was a kid and claims he often gave his parents a hard time.
“I was a little s**t,” he laughed.
The star grew up in the rural state of North Dakota and often spent hours playing in the outdoors.
“I was really a kid who spent most of the time outside, catching turtles and frogs and stuff like that,” he recalled. “That’s pretty much all I did as a kid.”
Fergie, 38, and her husband have been busy celebrating their impending arrival with a series of baby showers, including a “gayby shower” which her gay friends hosted for her.
“All of her best gay friends threw her a baby shower and it was easily the best-dressed party in LA,” Josh laughed to Jimmy Kimmel on TV earlier this month.
“I went to the whole thing. I thought as the father-to-be you just show up at the end, but she insisted I was there the whole time.”
