Drew Barrymore’s second birth was “miraculous”.
The actress and her husband Will Kopelman already have 20-month-old daughter Olive and welcomed baby girl Frankie on April 22. Less than a month after having her second child, Drew visited Ellen DeGeneres’ show to promote her film Blended with co-star Adam Sandler.
“It feels like a miracle and it’s also so awesome I have to say,” she gushed to the chat show host about going back to work so soon after giving birth.
“I feel like I actually have, first of all, I love this movie and I would never not, like, show up for it, and I feel so good and happy. My kid is healthy. I have nothing to complain about. Like, I’m so blessed.”
The star also revealed how she and Will decided on the name Frankie for their youngest daughter. Due to big sister Olive, she joked that most things sounded like a color or a food when paired with the eldest child’s moniker.
“We, um, it was just a name that, like, came to my husband and I about a few months before she was born and it was just sort of like, I think this is it and then we just gave ourselves the room to change our mind but we never did. Not the most interesting story,” she laughed.
Blended is a comedy about a couple of single parents who find themselves stuck together at a family resort, following a terrible first date. Realizing their kids are benefiting from their relationship, romance begins to blossom.
Drew recently revealed she feels a lot less anxious about motherhood this time around.
“You know what’s going on more, so you’re a lot less worried and stressed,” she told E! Online. “It’s so much more work, but it is so much more calming in a way. It’s just grounding.”
