Jamie Dornan has reportedly become a father.
The 31-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey star and his wife Amelia Warner have welcomed their first child, according to Us Weekly.
Although two sources confirmed the baby’s birth to the publication, specific details such as gender or name have not yet been provided.
Jamie is said to be “thrilled” with his and Amelia’s new arrival. An insider suggested they will be celebrating their newfound parenthood over Christmas in a rented home in Vancouver.
The family is temporarily residing in the Canadian city while Jamie films erotic thriller Fifty Shades of Grey, which is based on the novel by E.L. James.
The actor will portray dominating lothario Christian Grey in the hotly-anticipated movie, with Dakota Johnson playing his innocent lover Anastasia Steele.
Although the film will feature explicit scenes, Jamie previously revealed he is taking it all in his stride.
“I’m a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book],” he explained to Entertainment Weekly. “It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me.”
Jamie dated actress Keira Knightley from 2003 to 2005 before getting into a relationship with his current wife Amelia.
He and fellow thespian Amelia tied the knot in April 2013 and they announced her pregnancy in June.
Jamie’s representative declined to comment on whether or not the actor has officially become a parent.
