David Beckham: I control family TV

David Beckham jokes his family knows he’s “in control” when it comes to the TV.

The retired soccer star appears in a television commercial for Sky Sports in the UK, which sees multiple versions of himself going about their daily lives.

David raises four children with wife Victoria – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper – and insists when it comes to family down-time, he’s always in charge.

“I’m in control of the remote, unless one of the boys is in the living room, then that’s a different story. But they know Daddy is in control of the remote!” he teased in an interview with British magazine Heat.

“The kids watch a lot of the children’s shows, but me and Victoria are watching Modern Family or the Office.”

David is famed for spending as much time with his family as possible in between work commitments. The hunk has revealed how having multiple versions of himself around would help him day-to-day.

“It would be great, because I could have one that is constantly there with the kids every single day,” he smiled.

“I’m there with them most of the time, but to be with them at each event or football match, that would be the best thing. Most days they are playing different games on the same day, so it’s hard to get to all of them at the same time.”

David also answered a range of “quick-fire questions” in the interview, including who he’d choose out of Jay Z or One Direction.

“One Direction are great, but I’m a huge Jay Z fan, so I’m going to have to say him,” he teased before answering what he’d opt for given the choice of motorbikes or cars.

“I love both. I’ve got into motorcycles in the last five or six years, so I’m loving motorbikes at the moment – but my family would say cars, I’m sure!” David smiled.
