Claire Danes says being nominated for an Emmy Award is like having “a nightmare come to life”.
The Homeland star is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series, a prize she also took home last year.
Either way the vote goes, the actress is terrified by the outcome.
“If you lose, you have to cope with that sting, and if you win, you have to get up and say something eloquent and charming, and remember to thank your husband or your wife,” she told America’s People magazine.
The cast and crew of Homeland received three major nominations, including best drama and outstanding lead actor in a drama series for Claire’s co-star Damian Lewis.
The actress will be there cheering everyone on.
“We really are a very close group, so I’m really looking forward to that particular part of it,” she said.
The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will air on CBS Sunday, September 22.
