Lauren Silverman is planning to write a tell-all pregnancy book to “set the record straight”.
The New York socialite and Simon Cowell are expecting their first child together next year, with Simon said to be “overjoyed” with the pregnancy.
Lauren already has son Adam, seven, from her previous marriage to Simon’s former friend Andrew Silverman, and wants the memoir to be a keepsake for the new arrival.
“With all that’s been written about her pregnancy, she wants the opportunity to set the record straight in her book,” a source close to the couple told British magazine Star.
“Lauren wants to write a book with lots of detail, so that when her baby grows up he will understand how much Lauren and Simon wanted him.”
However, music mogul Simon apparently isn’t thrilled with the prospect of this intimate time being made public.
The 54-year-old star values his privacy, but Lauren is hopeful he’ll change his mind as she wants to tell her side of the story.
“Although Simon is overjoyed about his son’s arrival, he likes to keep his private life private. He can see where Lauren is coming from but feels it’s unnecessary. Any book will to have his approval before it’s published,” the source continued.
Sources claim that Simon is keen to make Lauren his wife and reports have surfaced that he has already picked out an engagement ring.
He was also spotted in Miami last week having dinner with Lauren’s dad Stephen, which a friend confirmed was a great success.
“I love him. The best… there’s nobody like this guy,” gushed Stephen.
