Joan Collins allegedly gave fans “the cold shoulder” at a red carpet event this week.
The 80-year-old Dynasty star attended the 17th annual Accessories Council ACE Awards in New York on Monday, which was hosted at lavish Italian restaurant Cipriani 42nd Street.
But according to Page Six she was “seen giving some fans the cold shoulder” at the affair and was even overheard saying, “I don’t touch the public”.
“She made it clear she’s too much of a diva to shake hands,” an eyewitness told the outlet.
A source close to the actress claims she didn’t mean any offence to her admirers.
According to Joan’s friend she has “limited contact because she’s been getting ill.”
But another insider, who also attended the ACE Awards, reportedly “sniffed” at suggestions she was worried about her health.
“I witnessed her shaking hands with quite a few people, so this allegation is completely false,” the eyewitness revealed.
Joan has previously spoken about how she has managed to remain radiant in her golden years.
Although health is important to her, the geriatric actress-and-writer revealed she doesn’t push herself too hard to stay fit.
“Physical exercise of any kind is really important. ‘Use it or lose it,’ I say. But I’m not one of those people who works out madly for four or five hours a day; a lot of those women have needed hip and knee replacements. Everything in moderation,” she told Stylist magazine earlier this year.
