Chris Brown says the media makes celebrities look like “aggressive animals”.
The 24-year-old singer took to Twitter on Friday, fuming in the wake of Kanye West’s war-of-words with Jimmy Kimmel.
The rapper unleashed a tirade this week on the US late night talk show host, who aired a skit mocking Kanye’s interview with the BBC by putting a child in his place.
Chris appeared to speak in his defense as he addressed critics.
“I hate how the media makes us look like aggressive animals,” Chris wrote.
The star vented about how stars constantly have to deal with paparazzi following their every move. And although in many cases photographers break the law to get a picture, it’s the celebrity who is demonized.
“On some real s**t If those cameras on ya property that means its trespassing,” Chris continued. “S**t ain’t cool!”
Kanye caught heat this week when he attacked Jimmy Kimmel on Twitter, revealing he’s especially sensitive about, North, his three-month-old daughter with Kim Kardashian, being photographed.
“JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON’T TAKE IT AS A JOKE… YOU DON’T HAVE SCUM BAGS HOPPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER,” he wrote in part. “YOU CAN’T PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. YOUR FACE LOOKS CRAZY…IS THAT FUNNY?…OR IF I HAD A KID SAY IT WOULD BE FUNNY???”
Chris addressed Kanye directly in an earlier tweet that has since been removed from his feed.
In the message, Chris urged his fellow star to take extra steps to ensure his safety and prevent him from lashing out.
“@kanyewest hire some security or some street n***as to take care of the bulls**t so u not explaining Yaself,” he wrote.
Kanye is currently facing criminal charges and a civil lawsuit stemming from an altercation with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport in July.
He could face up to a year in jail if convicted of attempted grand theft and criminal battery, according to Radar. Both charges are misdemeanors.
Kanye’s arraignment is scheduled for October 10.
