Chelsea Handler thinks it’s best if she doesn’t go anywhere near the organization of Jennifer Aniston’s wedding.
The US talk show host is close pals with Jennifer, and was surprised to read reports she is helping to put together the former Friends actress’ big day with Justin Theroux.
The couple got engaged in 2012 and while no date has yet been set, Chelsea says she’ll be taking a backseat, as her taste in weddings differs wildly from her friend’s.
“I read things like that and think, ‘Damn, she hasn’t told me about it yet!'” Chelsea cleared up to British magazine Grazia.
“Jennifer wouldn’t want me to organize her wedding – nobody would. I’d have midgets everywhere – I’m obsessed. I’m far better at birthday party organizing. So she can ask me to do one of those for her.”
Chelsea, 39, and 45-year-old Jennifer have been through thick and thin together, and are always on hand to support one another when they’re going through a rough patch.
“Jennifer is brilliant. She has a great sense of humor. I can’t be friends with people who are not bright and who are not looking out for each other. And she does,” Chelsea gushed.
While Chelsea has a high-flying career on American TV and a circle of friends that includes Reese Witherspoon and Charlize Theron, the blonde star says she actually enjoys a relatively normal existence.
She’s just ended her seven-year run on talk show Chelsea Lately, and is on the verge of announcing her next TV project, but says worldwide fame doesn’t interest her.
“I’d never want to experience the same level of fame and hysteria that Jennifer has to put up with. I’m lucky to be able to walk around the street without being bothered. She’s cool with it, though – she handles herself well,” Chelsea insisted.
