Channing Tatum has joked he’s not going to “gift” Jonah Hill his wife.
The 34-year-old actor is married to his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan and the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Everly, last May.
Channing and Jonah have struck up a close friendship during filming of 21 Jump Street and sequel 22 Jump Street. It seems they have become so close that Jonah, 30, is confident enough to share his feelings towards his pal’s spouse.
“[Jonah] wants to be with my wife and that’s not cool. We’ve already had this conversation a couple of times and he always gets really awkward,” Channing sighed to 2DayFM’s Dan & Maz.
They were then quizzed on what they would give each other as a present. Jonah was quick to chime in, telling the hosts: “I can tell you what I want!”
Channing, having none of his buddy’s comments, jokingly stood up for himself and Jenna, and ruled out the idea completely.
“I am not going to gift him my wife, no matter what he asks and what he’s going to give me for it. It’s just what’s not going to happen,” he quipped.
“I just don’t get what the big deal is!” Jonah bemoaned the situation.
Channing also stopped by KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show and spoke about being a dad. Reminiscing on the past year, the handsome star shared how fatherhood has changed his life.
“Being a dad, for the first year you’re pretty much a glorified assistant. You go get a bottle, you change the diaper and you try to not drop the baby,” he laughed, before addressing rumors of him wearing fairy wings for Everly’s first birthday.
“Yeah, when you’re in my house you have to wear fairy wings all the time, whether it’s a birthday or not… Jonah has fairy wings on right now.”
