Mel B has been inspired to make a raunchy video after watching Sex Tape.
The former Spice Girls singer is married to film producer Stephen Belafonte and they have two-year-old little girl Madison together. Mel also has daughter Phoenix, 15, from her relationship with Jimmy Gulzar, and seven-year-old Angel with Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy and Stephen has daughter Giselle.
After watching the new comedy flick starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel as a couple whose intimate footage goes missing, Mel admits she wants to try something similar herself.
“I went home [from the screening] and I was like this to my husband: ‘You know what? Not tonight but just to put it out there…'” she mused during an interview with the two celebrities in her role as co-host of 2Day FM Breakfast With The Stars.
“And he was like ‘Where have you been?!'”
It seems Cameron and Jason were pleased to hear Mel’s epiphany, sharing their support for the idea.
“That’s awesome,” the blonde beauty told their host.
The How I Met Your Mother actor admitted he doesn’t think his and Cameron’s onscreen antics are enough to encourage all other couples to do the same. However, he does hope it will trigger a new-found excitement in people’s relationships.
“That’s fantastic,” Jason mused to Mel. “I don’t know if it will spur the making of sex tapes but I think it will spur conversation about making sure to keep the spark alive, you know.”
He and Cameron have been giving amusing interviews while promoting their feature, and have spoken candidly about how they filmed the revealing scenes. The 41-year-old actress recently revealed she and her co-star would tell each other if they’d eaten something smelly before shooting so they knew what to expect.
“If there was any time either of us ate something offensive or we even thought would be offensive, like fish, you had to call it out,” Cameron laughed to Chicago Sun-Times. “I’d say, ‘Jason, I ate some fish that maybe didn’t taste right. You might smell it. It’s not me.’ Then I’d hear, ‘Oh no, but I had onion rings for lunch.’ Then I would think, ‘We’re even.’”
