Cameron Diaz: I’ll babysit for Drew

Cameron Diaz wants to be Drew Barrymore’s babysitter.

The Hollywood actress has big plans to visit her long-time pal Drew and her newborn baby daughter, Frankie. The Charlie’s Angels actress welcomed her second child with her husband Will Kopelman last Tuesday.

Cameron has been kept busy promoting her film The Other Woman – which also stars Leslie Mann and Kate Upton – but is making time next weekend for Drew and her family.

“I haven’t seen her yet but I’m going to this weekend,” Cameron told People Magazine at the Cinema Society and Bobbi Brown New York screening of the film. “[Drew] is doing wonderful[ly].”

The blonde beauty’s revenge comedy film took the top of the US box office this past weekend with $24.7 million, but despite her hectic schedule Cameron’s ready for her next important role in her life. This one involves Drew’s two daughters, Frankie and her older sister Olive, 19 months.

“Of course [I’ll babysit],” the actress told the publication. “I’m an auntie!”

Last week the star discussed how she helped her good friend prepare for the birth. Cameron was with Drew just days before Frankie entered the world and tried to encourage her as best she could.

“I feel like I know her already,” Cameron said. “This [past] weekend I spent with her and Will. On Saturday I got her game face on for the birth, making sure she was ready. And she said, ‘I’m so ready! Get it out of me!’ I was like, ‘Two more days! You can do it.'”

Drew has also gushed about her new family, recently explaining that she and her husband haven’t hired a babysitter for Olive.

“I am loving being a mom,” Drew told Red Magazine. “Olive is a year and a half now so, when the new baby comes, they will be close together in age. I think, just get it done – it will be awesome!

“We spend every weekend together. We don’t have a babysitter. It’s just us. I can’t wait to see how that’s going to work out with the second one!”
