Amanda Bynes spent a week at a spa to “get healthier”.
The actress left rehab in December, and has been undergoing regular therapy sessions as part of her plea deal her bong-throwing case, according to E! News.
The outlet reports Amanda recently visited the Miracle Fitness Retreat in Utah with her parents to undergo a healthy makeover.
“She was interested in getting healthier… to get in better shape, to lose about five pounds, but mainly to strengthen up and eat healthier,” Miracle Fitness owner and personal trainer Austan Torson said.
According to Austan, Amanda arrived on January 4 and signed up for the Fitness Jumpstart program, which costs $5,539 for seven days.
The trainer says days at the spa are spent working out and learning all about how to stay fit and healthy. Participants have a healthy snack at 6.30am before having a morning cardio session, followed by a healthy breakfast.
For the rest of the day, participants can choose yoga, pilates or other strength-training exercises.
Instructional lectures are given about nutrition, and there is another workout session in the afternoon, while evenings are spent having relaxing spa treatments after a healthy dinner.
Austan said the 27-year-old former child star appeared to enjoy the program and made new friends during her stay.
“I think it was a really good experience for her,” he said.
“She participated in everything we did. She was always up in the morning even though she was tired.”
