Amanda Bynes appears to be removing a tattoo from her arm.
The 27-year-old former child star was pictured in Thousand Oaks, California on Thursday with what the New York Daily News is calling a “dramatically faded version” of the angel wings once inked on her right forearm.
The newspaper suggests Amanda is undergoing laser tattoo removal, noting her skin around the area looked “pink and irritated”.
Amanda seems to be turning her life around after leaving a mental health facility in December.
The Hairspray star was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold after starting a fire in a neighbor’s driveway last summer, leading doctors to formally diagnose her with schizophrenia, according to the Daily News.
Her recovery includes therapy sessions as part of a plea deal in her bong-throwing case, which stems from an incident that took place in May 2013. At the time police, claimed they saw Amanda throw the smoking device from the window of her high-rise Manhattan apartment.
Amanda has also been working out regularly in a bid to stay healthy and was pictured at a gym near her parents’ Thousand Oaks home multiple times last week.
But neighborhood witnesses are remaining cautiously optimistic.
One source told the newspaper on both Thursday and Friday the former actress “darted out of her gym just minutes after she was dropped off” and ran to a gas station down the street unsupervised.
“Once her parents drop her off, the second they’re out of view, she goes running out of the gym and is looking over her shoulder,” the witness said. “I hope she’s not up to any hanky panky.”
