Sandra Bullock feels Hollywood made her a better parent.

The 49-year-old actress has three-year-old adopted son Louis, and the single parent is grateful the industry has afforded her the luxury to look after him well.

She spoke about her thankfulness at the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards in Beverly Hills, California on Monday.

“Hollywood has been very good to me. Hollywood allowed me to be a better parent,” she told Us Weekly at the event also attended by Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila. “…Allowed me to grab my ‘sac’ as Camila Alves said to Matthew, and I pulled that sac up high, and walked forward.”

The Gravity star was poking fun at a speech earlier delivered by her co-star in 1997’s A Time To Kill.

The 43-year-old joked about his 30-year-old spouse when discussing his dramatic weight-loss for new flick Dallas Buyers Club.

“My wife Camila, thanks for not only letting me be obsessed [with new roles] but demanding I be obsessed,” he said. “If I had three movies going you said ‘do four! Pick that sac up and do it!'”

Matthew has three kids with his model partner sons Levi, five, and Livingston, nine months, and three-year-old daughter Vida.

The little ones regularly enjoy play dates with Sandra’s son as they both have homes in Austin, Texas.

On the same night at the Elle Magazine Women in Hollywood bash, Sandra’s The Heat costar, Melissa McCarthy, gushed over her colleague’s parenting skills.

“She was made to [be a mother], and she has boundless energy,” she told Us.
