Bullock defends Clooney at SAGs

Sandra Bullock insists George Clooney talks to women his own age.

The actress shared the screen with her longtime pal in awards season favorite Gravity.

Her co-star got some unwanted attention at last weekend’s Golden Globe Awards, when co-host Tina Fey made fun of the 52-year-old’s penchant for younger women.

But Sandra, walking the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Saturday, said Tina got it all wrong.

“He talks to women his own age. I talk to him all the time!” she mused to E! News.

Tina had stars in stitches when she took aim at George with co-host Amy Poehler.

Describing the plot of Gravity, she said: “[It's] the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.”

George, whose past girlfriends include Elisabetta Canalis, Lisa Snowdon and Stacy Keibler, took the jab in stride.

However, he recently admitted Tina should expect a “a little surprise” of her own very soon.

“Oh, I’ve been working on it. She might have poked the bear with the stick,” he laughed to E!

Sandra warned the 30 Rock star shouldn’t take George lightly, either.

“No one can take a joke better than George. But no one can take you down with a great joke better than George,” she said.

The actress is meanwhile looking forward to a low-key night after the SAGs.

Instead of hitting a star-studded party, Sandra said fans can expect to see her chowing down on some fast food.

“I feel like if you dressed up like this, you should do something with it. I take it home to a four-year-old who doesn’t care,” she said about her after-party plans. “So, we’ll see how I am in the middle. But I feel like I should go out. I think we should go out. Go overdressed to Taco Bell!”
