Bruce Willis feels like a “caveman” protecting his family.
The actor married model Emma Heming in March 2009 and last year they welcomed daughter Mabel.
Bruce already has children Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with his ex-wife Demi Moore and parenting brings out a particular side in the star.
“I’ve never been as happy as I am now!” he gushed to German magazine Bild.
“I feel like a caveman protecting his family, living for his family. I have four daughters, I get up at seven am when our baby wakes up. My family has become the focus of my life and the entire meaning of it.”
At 35, Emma is 23 year Bruce’s junior.
While being father of a baby at 58 may seem unusual, the actor couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out.
“It’s fulfilling, very fulfilling,” he answered when asked what it’s like to welcome a child at his age.
“It’s real life. On screen I pretend as if I’m alive. At home, I’m me. Being a father is the most wonderful task.”
Bruce’s latest release is action flick Red 2, which also stars Helen Mirren and John Malkovich.
Known for the Die Hard franchise, the star still feels comfortable in the high-octane roles.
“I’m 58 now – and I think the best is yet to come for me,” he grinned.
“When I had a scene with Anthony Hopkins [for Red 2], I suddenly stopped and became a spectator. He’s a cinema legend. Red 2 is one of those films you have to see and have fun with. I don’t like to talk about films; I just make them. You have to watch them.”
