Justin Bieber’s “reckless” driving has improved, according to a neighbor.
The 19-year-old pop star was let off the hook by the Los Angeles District Attorney earlier this month after facing charges of driving recklessly through his Calabasas, California neighborhood.
Multiple residents reportedly complained Justin had reached speeds up to 100mph in his gated community, leaving many in fear for their children and pets.
TMZ spoke with American football star Eric Dickerson at the weekend about the issue and the athlete said Justin’s driving hasn’t been a huge problem lately.
“I live in the area. Let’s just say it’s gotten better… it’s gotten better,” the NFL player repeated.
Asked if Justin continues to speed through the neighborhood, Eric replied: “No.”
The comments come just weeks after the DA rejected charges of reckless driving and assault against Justin.
Prosecutors cited insufficient evidence in the reckless driving case stemming from an alleged incident on May 27.
The singer also avoided a charge of criminal assault, stemming from accusations he spat on a neighbor during a confrontation about his driving on March 26. Justin denied the claims.
According to CBSLA, Deputy District Attorney Alan Yochelson wrote in a charge evaluation the singer’s actions in the latter incident were “disproportionate and immature”.
However, “since the neighbor had entered the property without invitation, Bieber’s actions did not rise to the level of a criminal threat,” the report stated.
