Bell demands ‘no kids policy’

Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell has refused to speak to any news providers that publish pictures of celebrity children.

The 33-year-old Veronica Mars actress welcomed her first child with husband Dax Shepard in March 2013, and the pair have been advocates of keeping kids out of the press ever since.

Kristen took to Twitter on Wednesday to shame certain outlets for writing stories about famous people’s offspring.

“Sad 2 hear @eonline/@ENews is OK w/supporting #pedorazzi. They have ZERO interest in creating a #nokidspolicy. RT if u think its a bummer,” she wrote to her over 1.3 million followers.

Kristen then proceeded to rally communities to support her cause.

“Id love to see the day when CONSUMERS have the power to get @eonline/@ENews to create a #nokidspolicy & stop siding w/#pedorazzi (sic),” she tweeted.

The Twitterverse quickly responded, as several of her followers wrote messages espousing her sentiments.

In response to a reply, Kristen gave her word to stop doing interviews for outlets without a “no kids policy”:

“DONE!” she declared after @DowntownJRBrown offered her this proposition: “You could refuse to promote your films and grant interviews to these companies. That would have the most pull.”

In January, Kristen’s spouse Dax also called for a media boycott.

“Please boycott magazines that run pics of ‘celebrity children.’” he wrote to his Twitter fans.

“They shouldn’t be punished for who their parents are.”

Dax delved even further into the subject with his subsequent tweet.

He went as far as to suggest kids being featured in tabloids could be considered criminal.

“Children shouldn’t be stalked. #boycottusweekly #boycottstar #boycottpeople #boycottintouch #boycottboycottboycott,” he stated.

Kristen and Dax have been together since 2007, and they tied the knot in October of last year.

The couple have been proponents of civil rights issues before, as they waited to wed until California legally recognized same-sex marriage, which happened in June 2013.
