B-105’S AFTERNOON SHOW, AMANDA & JESSE
WIN CMA PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
WUBE-FM (Cincinnati’s Country … B-105) received a phone call from Keith Urban this afternoon, who informed Amanda & Jesse that they won Country Music Association’s Personality of the Year Award – Large Market Category.
Touted as “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” the 51st Annual CMA Awards airs live Wednesday, November 8 on ABC-TV. Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will preside over the evening, returning as hosts for the 10th consecutive year.
The CMA Broadcast Awards are among the most prestigious awards given out in the field of country radio. The judging process involves more than 40 distinguished broadcasting professionals, who represent all market sizes and regions of the United States.
Judging was based on the overall sound of the show; community participation; ratings; participation in local and national country events and organizations; and awards or accolades received during the eligibility period.
“I could not be happier for Amanda and Jesse to receive this well-deserved recognition,” said Mike Fredrick, Vice President / Market Manager of Hubbard Interactive Cincinnati. “Their hard work and passion for creating great content comes through not only on their show, but in the community with their audience. So proud to have our newest B-105 team bring this award home. Congratulations!”
“We could not be prouder of Amanda and Jesse,” said Patti Marshall, Operations Manager of Hubbard Interactive Cincinnati. “B-105 has a rich history of personalities who have won this award. Amanda and Jesse are now deservedly a part of this family tradition.”
“Amanda & Jesse winning their first, of hopefully many CMA Awards today for Large Market Personality Of The Year, brings to fruition a year of working very hard to entertain our listeners with fun and compelling content,” said Grover Collins, WUBE Program Director. “I, along with the entire staff, are very happy for the two of them!”
