Prince Charles and wife in emergency landing

Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla have been involved in a “hairy” emergency landing.

The royal couple was flying by helicopter from London to Wales, where they were due to attend a literary festival. Fifteen minutes into the journey there was a technical problem, forcing the pilot to divert the journey. The helicopter had to make an emergency landing at an aerodrome in Buckinghamshire, with all seven people on board brought to safety.

“The pilot carried out a controlled emergency landing after diverting to the airport,” a spokesman for the couple explained.

A royal insider added: “It was quite a hairy experience.”

Charles and Camilla were taken to a car and driven to their final destination.

“The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were very determined to get to Hay and carry out their engagements as planned,” their representative added.

The pair looked relaxed and happy as they met with crowds at the literary event. Charles wore a simple grey suit for the event, with his wife opting for a pretty pale blue two-piece under a fawn mac.

Fans turned out to meet the royal pair, with many astounded to hear what had just transpired.

“They were unflappable despite what they went through,” one person, who didn’t want to be named, told British newspaper The Sun.

“If anyone else had gone through what they did they would have cancelled their day.”

The reason for the emergency landing is currently being investigated.

Miley Cyrus’s romance ‘fragile’

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly back on, but pals still expect them to “burn out”.

The singer and actor became engaged last year but have been beset by speculation their romance is on the rocks recently. Liam is said to have got close to January Jones and his family are rumored to be unhappy about his relationship with Miley.

The pair are long-thought to have put their wedding plans on hold, but it’s now been claimed they are working on their romance and are definitely together.

“She was kissing him,” an insider who saw the couple at a Hollywood party recently said. “They were definitely back on.”

“They break up, get back together, repeat,” a friend added. “They will eventually burn out.”

Liam’s brothers Chris and Luke are said to be so against the romance they even staged an intervention to try to change their sibling’s mind about his fiancée.

The 23-year-old actor is also said to have found his 20-year-old future wife’s image overhaul tricky to understand. Over the last 12 months Miley has cropped her hair and bleached it blonde, while her figure is trimmer than ever.

Although Miley has been seen out with her engagement ring firmly planted on her hand recently, another new report claims that is just for show.

It’s been suggested the young couple’s romance is under such strain they don’t share a bedroom in their home anymore.

“[Miley] stays in the master bedroom and Liam stays in one of the guest rooms,” an insider told Life & Style. “Sometimes she’ll even stay at her parents’, which is across the street, with her sister or mom so she doesn’t feel alone.

“The two know it’s over… but aren’t ready to announce it.”

Miley has repeatedly refused to comment on the rumors about her love life, insisting she has taken a step back from the limelight and needs some things to remain personal.

Lea Michele to write ‘intimate’ memoir

Lea Michele has signed a book deal to publish her memoirs.

The tome will be a “personal and intimate” account of the Glee actress’ life and trace her rise from Bronx schoolgirl to international TV star.

The actress, who plays Rachel Berry in the show, will give readers a “behind-the-scenes perspective” of her career and share tips on how to stay fit and focused on your goals.

The 26-year-old Emmy nominee’s first literary effort has been snapped up by Harmony Books and is set to hit shelves next spring.

“There wasn’t a guidebook when I was growing up, that detailed everything I needed to do, and know, to get to where I am today,” Lea said in a statement. “[It’s ] not a how-to-make-it-in-show-business book, but a guide to harnessing tenacity, passion, enthusiasm, and hard work to make your dreams come true.”

Before winning her breakthrough role on Glee, the multi-talented entertainer starred in Broadway show Spring Awakening. She also appeared in 2011 comedy New Year’s Eve alongside Ashton Kutcher.

Lea isn’t the only Glee star to have put pen to paper. Co-star Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina Cohen-Chang on the hit show, released a book titled Choosing Glee: 10 Rules to Finding Inspiration, Happiness and the Real You.

Chris Colfer – Glee’s Kurt Hummel – branched out into a younger market and published children’s novel The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell. His second book, The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns, is out in August.

Victoria Beckham ‘hoping for another child’

Victoria Beckham is reportedly hoping for “one more child”.

The singer-turned-designer is said to be over the moon about her husband David Beckham’s decision to retire from professional soccer.

Victoria has allegedly already started making plans for her fashion career now David will be on hand to support her, and is also considering expanding her brood to five children.

“She was touched he said he’ll make everything up to her and promised to be the best husband he could be,” a source told British magazine Closer. “They’re not going to start trying for a baby just yet as they have got their hands full with Harper but Victoria still hopes they’ll have one more child in the future.”

As has been documented over the past few weeks, Victoria had been growing anxious about David renewing his contract with French club Paris St-Germain. She allegedly felt the long distance nature of their relationship was putting strain on their family. The stylish celebrity also reportedly missed her glamorous lifestyle she had while they lived in Los Angeles, which was heightened by her loneliness. Now that David has left his commitments in France, it is thought he will take a job at the UK based Football Association.

“Now they don’t have to be in London, she doesn’t know if she wants to move back to LA properly,” a source added. “But they’ll be spending a lot of time there over the school holidays as she had planned.”

Miranda Kerr: Orlando is spiritual

Miranda Kerr says her husband Orlando Bloom is an “honorable and spiritual” man.

The model has been married to the Hollywood hunk for three years and has discussed how they have matured and evolved together as a couple.

Orlando himself has previously credited the Australian beauty for helping him to find “himself”.

“We’ve grown together,” the 30-year-old model told British magazine Look. “He’s an honorable, spiritual man. I think that’s influenced me in a positive way.”

In 2011, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel gave birth to the couple’s first child, Flynn.

Miranda is known to be a big fan of yoga and Pilates and also likes to lark about with her toddler son to keep fit.

“I exercise every day – be it yoga, hiking, Pilates or resistance training,” she said. “I’ve been practising yoga for over ten years and my son often holds on to me like a koala. Flynn loves to dance, so I dance with him, too.”

The model also explained how she manages to stay in such fantastic shape.

Known for her love of organic food and cooking, the star tries to keep a balanced diet instead of depriving herself.

“I actually studied nutrition and I’m a certified health coach, so I’m very passionate about that. But life is not about depriving yourself,” she said. “I believe in the 80/20 rule – 80 per cent healthy and 20 per cent indulgent. So if I want a piece of chocolate, I’ll have one. I just won’t eat the whole block.”

Vanessa Paradis: Family song is precious

Vanessa Paradis says the song she recorded with her ex-partner Johnny Depp is “precious”.

The French singer is currently promoting her new album Love Songs, which features a track that Johnny and the couple’s daughter contributed to.

Johnny wrote the lyrics, daughter Lily Rose, 11, came up with the melody and Vanessa produced the track.

While the Hollywood actor and the blonde beauty split in 2012 after 14 years together, Vanessa treasures the memories that the song, called New Year, holds.

“Johnny wrote the chorus and one day our daughter, who was younger at the time, just sang a melody on the track. We recorded the song and I still have that recording, because to me it was incredibly beautiful. Now I decided to turn it into a complete song,” she told the German edition of Grazia magazine.

“The record is eternal and even when we’re all gone one day, this special project between daughter, mother and Johnny will live on. It’s a beautiful thought and very precious to me.”

Vanessa also spoke about her views on love following her break-up from Johnny, with whom she has two children.

The stars were plagued by reports that Johnny’s friendship with Rum Diaries co-star Amber Heard was to blame.

However, Vanessa doesn’t appear bitter about how things have developed since their split.

“We are always changing. Sometimes we want to fight for love, sometimes we want to get rid of it. Sometimes we’re happy without love, sometimes we’re not. Love doesn’t always stay the same,” she said.

Beyoncé lines up Gaga for concert

Beyoncé Knowles has sparked speculation she might be joined on stage by Lady Gaga for an upcoming gig.

The singer is currently wowing audiences with her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and appears to have asked fellow chart star Gaga to make a surprise appearance when she plays in New York.

Beyoncé and the Edge of Glory singer have previously worked together on 2010 hit Telephone.

“According to an email sent by concert listings website Songkick, Lady Gaga has been lined up to take to the stage with Queen B during her Mrs. Carter Show tour gig at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on August 3,” MTV reports. “If she does take to the stage with Beyoncé, it will be her first major gig since her operation.”

Gaga has been keeping a relatively low profile while recovering from a hip operation in February. The star was forced to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour after being diagnosed with a labral tear in her right hip. Having been advised to take six months off by doctors, she returned to the stage earlier this month when she performed with Jazz singer Brian Newman in New York.

There has been speculation that Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z and friend Kanye West will also join the R&B diva for a performance.

Jay-Z and Kanye West released their joint studio album Watch the Throne in 2011.

Pete Wentz calls for kindness

Pete Wentz has urged people to embrace a “good fellow human”.

It’s thought the Fall Out Boy bassist is referring to a tragic terrorist attack that occurred in England yesterday.

A soldier was killed during a brutal religious extremist attack with a machete in London.

Several celebrities have responded to the terrible news, including rocker Pete.

“Heavy day in the world today. Hug a good fellow human (sic),” he posted on Twitter.

Another star to comment on the tragedy was TV star Kelly Osbourne.

The 28-year-old made it clear her thoughts were with those affected by the horrific incident.

“I can’t believe what has happened in #Woolwich its beyond appalling! sending prayers & love to the victims family & loved ones!” she posted.

“Its bad enough that our soldiers even have to go to war! They should at least be safe when they are in their homeland! #Woolwich (sic).”

Following the killing, members of the English Defence League took to the streets of London to hurl bottles at policeman and chant anti-Muslim slurs.

Kelly is outraged with the way people are reacting to the news.

“Its ridiculous to brand all muslims as bad & if you think that you are stupid there are extremists in every religion remember #WacoTexas!” she fumed.

“Watching the news is genuinely making me sad there is just so much distraction & devastation its seems so endless! (sic)”

Taylor Swift ‘isn’t Bieber fan’

Taylor Swift is apparently “not a Belieber.”

The singer is best friends with Selena Gomez, who has an on/off relationship with teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

According to insiders, Taylor doesn’t approve of Selena rekindling things with Justin, but is keeping quiet to maintain the friendship between them.

“Let’s just put it this way: Taylor is not a Belieber,” a source close to the girls told RadarOnline.

“She loves Selena and wants her to be happy but she doesn’t think going back and forth with Justin is the answer. That being said, Taylor’s also a little bit jealous in a weird way.”

Earlier this month Selena confirmed to a Boston radio station that she was single again. However, at the Billboard Music Awards last weekend the 20-year-old was spotted giving Justin a kiss backstage, with Taylor seen pulling a face in disgust.

The insider says Taylor’s jealousy stems from the fact her best friend’s attention has been taken so easily by the 19-year-old popstar once again.

Known for being a serial dater herself, Taylor is said to be doubly annoyed by the fact she is currently single.

“Taylor is jealous that Selena still has Justin as ‘her person’ to go to, but she’s not jealous of who Selena’s on and off with,” the source said.

“She thinks Justin is a brat and that Selena could do way better.”

Meanwhile Selena has insisted that she is still on good terms with Taylor. This is despite the behind-the-scenes footage that emerged showing the face pulling incident at the awards ceremony.

“Taylor is my good friend, I presented her award. I love her; she’s so cool, normal and down to earth. She’s the girl you call when you are going through any heartache. Just listen to her songs and you’ll feel better,” Selena gushed to BBC Radio 1 earlier this week. “I love Taylor, she’s the best.”

Julianne Moore: Kids drive me crazy

Julianne Moore’s children are driving her “nuts”.

The actress has a son Caleb, 15, and a daughter Liv, who has just turned 11.

She misses the days when her kids were tiny and easily amused.

“My son is six feet tall and still growing. It’s really crazy,” Julianne shared with the Chicago Sun-Times. “My daughter Liv is in middle school. The drama of that age can drive you nuts.”

The 52-year-old red-haired star plays a mother in her new movie What Maisie Knew.

In the drama, Julianne’s character is a rocker who neglects her young daughter while engaging in a bitter custody battle to spite her ex-husband.

Julianne says her experience of being a mom helped her with the part, but also posed problems when arguing with her cheeky teen daughter.

“My daughter made a joke while we were in production. One day she said to me, ‘Mom, are you still playing that horrible mother?’” Julianne laughed. “The great part about it is we shot the movie next door to my house. So my own daughter came and hung out. Hopefully because I am a parent, I know the rules of good parenting. What’s so dangerous about this woman I play in Maisie is that she’s inconsistent, which really disturbed me. This woman would smother her daughter with love, affection, toys and clothes and then would be emotionally absent or yell at the poor little girl.”

Julianne shared her life advice based on her three decades in the movie industry. She puts her career success down to sheer determination and effort.

“All I can say is try to do something in life that makes you happy. I’d also tell them that age brings clarity and hard work still pays off. Basically, you don’t know that at age 18,” she finished. “You walk around thinking some people just get lucky and their lives fall into place. I’m here to say that persistence and hard work is the key to everything.”
