Channing Tatum: I’m no Woman Whisperer

Channing Tatum thinks it’s “terrible” that he’s nicknamed the Woman Whisperer.

The hunky actor has starred in movies such as Magic Mike and is known for his toned physique.

He also has a more sensitive side and often speaks about his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum and their new baby Everly in an adoring manner.

“No, no, that is terrible!” Channing replied to Refinery 29 about whether he’d heard of his Woman Whisperer moniker. “Oh, I’m gonna get you for that one. My wife is going to be like, ‘Oh really?’”

Channing might have a sixth sense when it comes to women, but he has some failures when it comes to typical manly pursuits.

He joked about an incident that took place on a hiking trip which proved he couldn’t cope alone.

“The closest thing I’d consider to be a crisis was when my wife and I got into a sticky situation hiking in the woods. We were on the side of a mountain, and we didn’t leave ourselves enough daylight to get out,” he shared. “I pretty much fell off the mountain when we were hiking back in the dark. She got me through it. So, I guess my wife keeps me level headed.”

The 33-year-old stars in action film White House Down with Jamie Foxx. He first met the legendary US actor during a night of wild partying.

“We met in Cancun, weirdly enough. It was the Summer of Sony and we were all at dinner. I met him very briefly, and then I went to the hotel to hang out. There were DJs up there doing their thing, but Mr. Foxx decided to take the party into his own hands, and made it an unforgettable evening. I think me and my wife looked like we just got out of the pool by the end of the night – we were just soaking wet,” he laughed. “I mean, he was up there singing MJ and some of his own, it was an epic night. It was good stuff. We didn’t even know about this movie!”

After this year’s Oscars, Channing and Jamie appeared on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live while promoting their new film.

The friends performed a duet called Channing All Over Your Tatum that became a viral hit.

Channing, Jamie and Jimmy have now unveiled the jokey music promo for the song.

Like all Jimmy’s parodies, the clip features several cameo appearances from stars including Olivia Munn, Matt Damon and Miley Cyrus.

“Check out Miley in the “Channing All Over My Tatum” music video!” Miley tweeted today.

“Throwing Channing on the Tatum makes the babies be born…#ChanningAllOverYourTatum WATCH, (sic)” Channing also tweeted.

Hayden Panettiere: My singing is so-so

Hayden Panettiere always gets up for karaoke even though sometimes she sounds “not so brilliant”.

The actress portrays country musician Juliette Barnes in TV show Nashville, where she does her own vocals. The 23-year-old has experience of laying down tracks having recorded an album in her teens and enjoys letting rip on the microphone.

However, that doesn’t mean things always go that well.

“We have this amazing place in Nashville called Santa’s Pub. It’s literally a double-wide trailer [an extra-large mobile home]. The guy who runs it has a white beard and he looks just like Santa Claus, minus the belly,” she laughed to Stylist magazine. “It’s so much fun and no-one ever bothers you or gives you a hard time. It feels almost like you’re in someone’s living room. Sometimes I’ll hit Don’t Stop Believin’ [by Journey on the karaoke]. Sometimes it sounds brilliant and sometimes it’s, er, not so brilliant.”

Music plays a huge part of Hayden’s life and she uses it to bond with friends. She and her pals love to go to the beach and when there, reggae music fits the vibe perfectly.

“If there is a volleyball court we will play, but we’ll also be sunbathing, chatting, listening to music, having a beer – all that fun girly stuff, getting sunburnt and making sure we’re lathering each other up with sunscreen,” she explained.

Hayden also turns to tunes when she is heartbroken. When she split from her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia after a relationship which lasted over a year, she listened to Leave the Pieces by The Wreckers. She would blast the track in her car as it helped her feel “empowered”.

A happier memory is stirred up when the star hears Hot in Herre by Nelly.

“This reminds me of the first concert I ever went to where Nelly opened for Destiny’s Child,” she recalled. “My little brother had the most ridiculous spiked mullet at the time and Nelly picked him out of the crowd and sat him on this black-and-white quad bike with his Harley Davidson jacket.”

Kanye West slammed for lyrics

Kanye West has been branded “ignorant” for including lyrics about Parkinson’s disease on his new album.

The rapper’s sixth studio album, Yeezus, was released this week and a storm has already brewed up over one of the tracks. In the song On Sight, Kanye appears to use Parkinson’s disease as a punch line, and the insensitive move has attracted anger from the American Parkinson Disease Association.

The track features the line, “A monster about to come alive again / Soon as I pull up and park the Benz / We get this b***h shaking like Parkinson’s.”

Kathryn Whitford, who is Vice President of the American Parkinson Disease Association, has slammed Kanye’s choice of words.

“We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance,” she told TMZ.

Kanye is yet to respond to the controversy.

American Parkinson Disease Association isn’t the only organization to speak out against the rapper.

Tom Palizzi, Chair for People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council, has also condemned the star and urged him to improve his understanding of the degenerative disorder.

“Kanye West is without question a richly talented and multifaceted artist. With utmost respect for freedom of expression and the inherent controversial nature of art in general, there is, however, a fine line between expression and insensitivity,” he said. “Many of us appreciate the lighter side of having a chronic and degenerative movement disorder, though as many interpret such statements as harsh and insensitive. As Chair and on behalf of PPAC, I would be delighted to help Mr. West better understand the truths and myths of Parkinson’s. Notable people such as Michael J. Fox, Muhammad Ali and Ben Petrick, my peers and millions of others are testament to the enduring spirit of people with Parkinson’s.”

It was recently reported that Kanye – who became a father last weekend when Kim Kardashian gave birth to a girl – was adding some “consumer-friendly” singles to his new album.

Last month, the star performed new tracks Black Skinhead and New Slaves on US TV show Saturday Night Live and the material was met with mixed reviews.

Jennifer Lopez feels invincible

Jennifer Lopez feels she can do “anything”.

The singer has come back with a bang after her divorce from third husband and father of her twins Max and Emme, Marc Anthony, last year.

She is currently dating former back-up dancer Casper Smart, starring in hit movies such as Parker and recording her eighth album.

“I feel like I could do anything now,” she smiled to British newspaper The Telegraph.

“Before, I was just going through life. Now I live in the moment and I appreciate things in a different way.”

Prior to her marriage to Marc, Jennifer wed Cuban actor Ojani Noa in 1997, but they divorced in 1998.

Jennifer has also been married to back-up dancer Cris Judd and enjoyed high-profile romances with Ben Affleck and P. Diddy.

While she hasn’t always been lucky in love, the star now feels positive.

“When Marc and I decided to separate, I thought, ‘I’m not going to let this turn me into someone unhopeful who doesn’t believe [in love] anymore.’ I didn’t want to just survive it. I wanted to grow from it. And I did learn a lot,” she revealed.

“Most importantly, to love myself first. As women, I don’t think we do that enough. We always love somebody else more than ourselves.

“I did that for a long time and I couldn’t understand why things weren’t working. Then I realized that I wasn’t valuing myself in the way that I deserved.”

Jennifer may be 43, but she still looks great in skimpy stage outfits performing energetic dance routines.

The star was criticized when she wore a revealing leotard during a recent performance on Britain’s Got Talent, but Jennifer is pleased she keeps proving age is just a number.

“I feel like women are knocking those preconceptions down every single day,” she smiled.

“Every major actress right now is in her forties. The new crop hasn’t really come up in the same way, and it’s the same with recording artists, too. In old Hollywood, by the time you were 28 you were over; it was so youth-driven.

“Now people realize how much better women get with experience and wisdom. It’s a very ‘woman’ moment.”

Paris Jackson ‘testifies in father’s death lawsuit’

Paris Jackson has reportedly testified in her father’s wrongful death lawsuit.

Paris and her brothers Prince and Blanket have been cared for by their paternal grandmother Katherine Jackson since their dad Michael Jackson died in 2009.

Katherine has brought a lawsuit against concert promoters AEG Live, claiming bosses pushed Michael into rehearsing for his This Is It tour. He was preparing for the shows when he died, with his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray jailed for his involuntary manslaughter. Michael passed away after taking anesthetic Propofol, which Conrad administered and Katherine claims AEG were negligent in hiring him.

Paris and Prince have long been listed as potential witnesses in the case, with reports 15-year-old Paris did not want to testify. She is currently in hospital recovering from a suicide attempt but it’s been reported her testimony was heard yesterday.

It is known that she was questioned under oath last October and it remains unclear whether that interview was shown in court, or whether she actually spoke from the UCLA Medical Center.

According to New York Post, Paris was quizzed about her former nanny Grace Rwaramba in October. Grace has been open about her support of the children in public and attorneys for the Jackson family have apparently suggested she was sacked by AEG Live.

Paris was asked why Grace was let go from her position. “My dad didn’t like her… She was sneaky. She wasn’t an honest person, and lied a lot,” she replied.

The teenager added her father did rehire her on several occasions because he felt sorry for her as she “didn’t really have money”.

“One time when me and my brother were really young, before Blanket was born… She would call the hotel and say she was his wife and they’d let her in, and he’d wake up and she’d be like in his bed…. She was obsessed with him,” Paris said.

“That’s what he told us… kinda freaky.”

She was then asked why her father didn’t simply fire the nanny.

“He did. He sent her to India. She kept coming back,” Paris said.

Attorney for AEG Live Marvin S. Putnam told the court Paris was treated well during her deposition and wasn’t subjected to a “grilling”, according to MailOnline. He explained Paris and Prince are named plaintiffs in the case, which is why they were questioned.

“There’s a real person involved here,” he said of Paris’ testimony. “There’s a 15-year-old girl and something incredibly tragic has happened that none of us know why and I think it would really be in everyone’s best interest and particularly in her best interest if rather than blowing this up into something else, that they were given a little bit of privacy to deal with something that has to be a tragic, tragic moment for all of them.

“She’s 15. Someone should give her a break.”

Paris tried to kill herself by taking an overdose of painkillers and slashing her wrists and it’s thought she will stay in hospital for at least a month. This week, the court heard Paris has been left so traumatized by her father’s passing she has not celebrated her birthday since it happened.

The Jacksons are said to be suing AEG Live for $40 billion.

Brad Pitt: I’d party into apocalypse

Brad Pitt would have a “big party” if the world was ending.

The 49-year-old hunk has been travelling the world to promote his new movie, zombie adventure World War Z. In the film Brad plays a United Nations employee who faces a race against time to stop a zombie attack from destroying Earth. The star is in no doubt about what he would really do if his life was about to end.

“Would I do something heroic? Who knows? I think if I knew this was absolutely it, the final end of Earth, I’d probably just have a big party,” he quipped during an appearance in New York City this week. “Despite all my heroic fight scenes, I still managed to eat everything and get some sleep. I admit, however, I did twist a couple of ankles.”

Brad went on to recall one of the first auditions he ever had.

Although he is now one of the biggest names in Hollywood, he failed to impress movie bosses when he tried out for a role in 1988 film The Accused starring Jodie Foster.

“I was excited, nervous. I asked the usual question, like you always do, ‘Well, how did you think I did?’ Being polite, they said, ‘You’ll be fine after a while. Right now you just need to get some dramatic training’… and I’d already been in drama class for a year,” he laughed to New York Post.

The star has also been quizzed on his romantic history with fiancée Angelina Jolie this week. Brad raises six children with Angelina, and the pair fell for each other after working on Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004.

The hunk – who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston – was reluctant to give too much away when asked for details about their first date.

“Oh, I don’t know,” he smiled to America’s OK! magazine. “Ours was a… we didn’t have an official first date, so I couldn’t tell you.”

Daniel Radcliffe: I’ll never be hot action hero

Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t think he’s handsome enough to portray an action hero.

The 23-year-old actor has taken on a number of character driven roles following the close of his Harry Potter movie franchise in 2011.

Despite his high level of acting expertise Daniel is convinced his looks will exclude him from venturing into action-adventure films as the leading man.

“I am never going to be cast to play a Bruce Willis character in Die Hard,” he told British newspaper The Sun.

“I would make a much better villain than Bond – I am not nearly strapping enough to play Bond.”

Matt Smith recently stepped down from the sci-fi role of Doctor Who in the famous TV series.

Daniel is not at all interested in filling Matt’s former role.

“I’ve done one iconic character, that might be enough,” he said.

Daniel has spoken before about how playing Harry Potter in the film franchise impacted his life.

He jokes that he won’t be buying a box set of the eight fantasy films anytime soon.

“No! It would be like watching a home video of yourself as a kid,” he exclaimed to the British edition of Glamour magazine.

“Essentially that’s what I have – the world’s most expensive collection of home videos ever made.”

Daniel will next be seen starring opposite Juno Temple in horror movie Horns, which is due out around Halloween.

Ashley Benson enjoys ‘tomboy’ dates

Ashley Benson’s lofty ideas for romantic dates rarely ever manifest as she manages to “keep it simple” with lovers.

The 23-year-old Spring Breakers actress considers herself to be one of the guys.

When asked what her ideal summer date was by OK! magazine Ashley’s response was all over the map.

“Going to the beach, having dinner, looking at the water, then going on a ferris wheel, then going to play games,” she shared. “I’m describing Santa Monica Pier right now but that’s not what I’m thinking of. I’m thinking of, like, The Notebook scene. I’m playing movies in my head. And then when it comes down to it they’re like, ‘What do you want to do?’ And I’m like, ‘I wanna go eat and then let’s go home.’ I just want to eat and go home and watch a movie. Keep it simple.”

Ashley has been romantically linked to a number of Hollywood studs recently including her Spring Breakers co-star James Franco and her Pretty Little Liars castmate Tyler Blackburn.

The actress says it doesn’t take much for her to be swept off her feet.

“I’m kind of a guy myself,” she laughed. “I’m more of a tomboy. I don’t like to get dressed up for things so I love to keep it casual. As long as the guy makes me laugh I’m happy.”

Selma Blair booted from Anger Management

Selma Blair is no longer a member of the Anger Management cast.

Rumors have been circulating for days that the 40-year-old actress and her co-star Charlie Sheen were feuding.

According to TMZ, Selma charged Charlie with being a “menace to work with”, claiming his work ethic was shoddy.

Apparently this infuriated Charlie and he demanded that producers release her from the show or else he would quit.

Late Tuesday Lionsgate released a statement which verified Selma’s departure.

“We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best,” the studio said.

The FX network show is scheduled to produce 100 episodes and Charlie will earn between $75 to $100 million if he films the whole series. Supposedly only 50 installments are complete.

It is claimed Charlie has asked Mila Kunis to join the series for at least ten episodes for a rate of $1 million per show.

The star is dating Ashton Kutcher, who replaced Charlie on his former sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Things were not always sour between Charlie and Selma.

“It’s wonderful how Charlie is bringing all these people in his life who are obviously very talented,” Selma said last year. “It’s wonderful he’s also bringing some of his personal life into it, you know even in the stories little things for people to follow that are very, very funny.

“This show had a great feeling about it right from the get-go. And Charlie is such an amazing and charismatic talent… there are a lot of reasons why I said yes.”

When Charlie was casting in January 2012 he also seemed to hold Selma in high regard.

“She’s a very special lady and is as pretty as the day is long and has never really had the opportunity to do something where she can shine, because off camera she’s hilarious,” he told Access Hollywood at the time.

“I think [she’s] one of the prettiest women in Hollywood.”

Stephen Moyer: Wife makes life easier

Stephen Moyer thinks wife Anna Paquin “makes life easier” both on and off-screen.

The 43-year-old actor and the 30-year-old actress have been married since 2010 and they share nine-month old fraternal twins Charlie and Poppy.

Stephen and Anna both star in hit TV show True Blood, where he depicts vampire Bill Compton.

The couple’s characters engage in a hot and cold love affair onscreen, but in real life Stephen claims they are peas in a pod.

He feels privileged to act with his spouse on the show and is happy she takes his direction so graciously.

“I love working with her. Even if she thinks I’m giving a stupid note, she’ll smile and do it,” he told People magazine.

“It certainly makes life easier for me!”

Stephen is also father to son Billy and daughter Lilac from previous relationships.

The star adores children and is deeply entertained by all the antics his brood partakes in at the house.

“I left my twins at home decorating the carpet with carrot puree,” he laughed.

“They’re so beautiful and funny right now.”

Stephen is unsure whether his kids will go into the entertainment business.

However, he thinks they’re so cute that they might require their own show.

“They have their own trailer!” he joked.

The first episode of True Blood’s sixth season aired last weekend.
