Jennifer Aniston has moved past her “awkward phase”.
The 44-year-old actress believes she is now in her prime, but she confesses she had a lot of worries about growing older 20 years ago.
Jennifer dismisses popular belief that aging makes life less enjoyable and more complicated.
“That there’s nothing to worry about — although I don’t think I had a care in the world at 25, either. That all started in my 30s, my awkward phase. I’m a little bit of a late bloomer! But it doesn’t matter to me because it just gets better,” she told Parade magazine in response to a question about what she knows now that she didn’t at the age of 25.
“They do say youth is wasted on the young, but I feel just as youthful now — if not more — than I did when I was 25. I’m more in my body; I’m more in my mind. Life is full. Life is wonderful. We’re very, very fortunate.”
Jennifer announced her engagement to screenwriter Justin Theroux in August 2012.
And the star claims her future husband brings out the absolute best in her at all times.
“I feel most beautiful when I’m just at home with [fiancé] Justin Theroux in the morning. Or any time of day I’m with him,” she gushed.
Although Jennifer is a huge movie star nowadays she still has a soft spot for Friends, the TV sitcom which shot her to international fame.
Whenever she sees the programme’s reruns on television, she is happy to tune in and reminisce.
“I actually will always stop and watch, not for the whole thing, but usually because I’ve forgotten a lot of the episodes,” she said.
“It’s sort of fun for a second, I’m like, what’s this one? And sometimes it comes back to me. I always know what year it was by what length my hair was or what colour.”
