Jennifer Aniston is reportedly being influenced by “fancy free” friend Chelsea Handler.
The actress is engaged to Justin Theroux and despite speculation the will wed soon, it’s thought they have not even set a date yet.
Initially it was claimed Justin was behind the decision to have a long engagement, but it’s now thought it’s Jennifer who is happy to stay a fiancée. She is apparently in awe of how much fun comedian Chelsea is having and wants to replicate her life.
“Now it’s Jen who’s dragging her feet about walking down the aisle. She’s actually pretty happy with the way things are and keeps saying she really admires close pal Chelsea, who’s fancy free as a single gal and always insists she’s not pining for marriage or kids,” an insider told National Enquirer.
Jennifer was previously married to Brad Pitt and has hinted she needed therapy after they broke up and he began seeing his now-fiancée Angelina Jolie.
This is also thought to be behind Jennifer’s decision to hold off on the wedding plans.
“Her wedding to Brad was like a fairy tale – every girl’s fantasy – but their bust up left her shattered and she never wants to go through another divorce,” the source explained. “Despite what people think, Justin would marry Jen in a minute, but notice how she’s not rushing to the altar.”
The 44-year-old actress recently opened up about the life lessons she has learnt. Mostly, she wishes she had spent more time on herself and fixing her issues.
“Thirties. Go to therapy. Clean up all of the sh*t. Clean up all of the toxins and the noise,” she previously told Glamour magazine. “Understand who you are. Educate yourself on the self. You can undo a lot of things. If you’re not happy, you can become happy. Happiness is a choice. That’s the thing I really feel. Like with friends who refuse to get happy, who refuse to rise above the discomfort of where they’re at.”
