Amy Adams won’t get married “anytime soon”.
The 39-year-old Man of Steel actress became engaged to artist Darren Le Gallo in 2008.
Although the pair have been together since 2002, Amy isn’t concerned with rushing down the aisle with the father of her three-year-old daughter Aviana.
“I’m not pregnant. I’m not getting married anytime soon,” she confirmed in the January issue of Vanity Fair.
“I know [Darren]’s completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being.”
Amy previously shared her professional life has been getting in the way of wedding planning.
The star claims she and her beau both know exactly what they want but they just don’t have time to do it.
“We both have a very specific idea that we want to do [the ceremony] in spring or fall, like in those months, but every time I’m busy working,” Amy told Allure magazine previously.
“I want something very family oriented and laid-back.”
Amy starred as Lois Lane opposite Henry Cavill in this summer’s Superman blockbuster Man of Steel.
And in June the star revealed how her thriving family life inspired the confidence to take on huge roles.
“The audience is ready to accept me in that role and I don’t have to force toughness into Lois. Plus, I think it’s simply that I’m a lot more centered in my life right now. I’m definitely more confident than I was when I first read a Superman script,” Amy told British newspaper The Times.
“Having a child does that to you. I’ve been with my man for 11 years; I’m surrounded by good people. So it means that I’ve shed this desire to please people. I still have it, but it’s not at the forefront of my thoughts.”
