Amber Riley won’t let her sore knees keep her from Black Friday sales.
The 27-year-old Glee actress won US TV show Dancing With the Stars this week and her legs are throbbing with pain from months of dance rehearsals and routines.
The star is recovering from the soreness through shopping, but she admits standing in outrageously long lines is out of the question.
“My knees are so sore but I really don’t wanna miss these sales *sigh*,” Amber wrote on Twitter describing her quandary.
“I guess I’ll be wise and stay home and ice. Online shopping it is!”
Black Friday, which traditionally takes place the day after Thanksgiving, is considered to be the first official day of Christmas shopping in America.
Amber reveals she has spent most of the week recuperating indoors.
And switching her attention from movie marathons to holiday bargains is a refreshing release for her.
“I’ve watched ‘Planet of the Apes’, ‘Godzilla’, ‘Robocop’, and now ‘Waterworld’. Eventful day lol,” she tweeted.
Amber took home the Dancing With the Stars trophy with her professional dance partner Derek Hough.
Although she loved every minute of being twirled around the dance floor, she admitted success would take a while to sink in.
“When I first came into the competition, winning was not on my mind, to be honest,” she told Access Hollywood recently.
“I didn’t know how long I was gonna make it. And then, a lot of things started happening with my knees and my body, but I just pressed through to the end, and I endured. I’m really proud of myself. I really am.”
