3 Cincinnati breweries bring home gold at national beer fest
Three Cincinnati breweries brought home gold medals from the Great American Beer Festival, proving again that Cincinnati beer is among the best in the world.
The festival was held in Denver over the weekend, and is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition.
Of the thousands of applicants, three Cincinnati-area breweries took home gold medals: Taft’s Ale House, Fifty West Brewing Co. and Brink Brewing Co.
-Taft’s won a gold medal for its Vienna-style lager, which is called Gustov.
-Fifty West received top marks in the Old Ale or Strong Ale category, winning for its 10&2 Barleywine.
-Brink has one of the best English-style mild ales in the world, winning gold for its Hold the Reins brew.
