How this Grant will Help:
A $50,000 grant would help us upgrade our technology infrastructure by providing wireless access in our school building and allow us to begin the introduction of iPads for student and teacher use, beginning in our middle school. Our students do not have the access or means to provide this on their own. Digital citizenship and information literacy is critical for our young students. We need to educate them about what is going on beyond the wall of the school and their community. We need them to understand the power of the world we have and right now we are limited by what we have. These funds would get us started on a 1:1 initiative, giving us the tools we need to move forward and give our students the hope of a brighter future. It would show the students the power of a community, an opportunity to connect with others around the world, and the chance to create a new vision for what is possible.
